Lady of the Night

This is a shoot i wanted to do during the day for a similar look, but my model was not available so I decided to do a night shoot.  Its wasn't ideal, but i couldn't let her leave the country without taking photos of her (she currently lives in Canada).
It was a fun shoot (and always is with Binx), we went to about 3 petrol stations before finally one guy said yes to us taking photos.  The others were worried about "head office" and bla bla, so this one guy was really laid back.  At one point a family drove up to the petrol station and i saw their car stop, and as i looked around the corner to see them, their faces where shocked, they thought Bianca was going to rob the place!  As the guy got out of the car he started laughing and said "I thought i was in America".
Shooting the shots where Bianca was wearing the fishnets with hardly anything else on was a part I wanted to get over with quickly.  I would have loved to have spent more time there but i was worried that some perverts might come and give us a hard time (although i did have my husband with us), i mean she was half naked!  Luckily we were fine :)
The street scape scene was pretty quick too.  I knew pretty much what i wanted and i think i got close to that.  You never really get what you first imagine in your mind.
All in all Im happy with the result, I feel like iv'e gone back to my roots on this one.  Most of my old work is pretty high in contrast.  Have a look and see what you think...

Ms Lopez, I love you.

What An Inspiration

Kristin Joy Cook, what an inspiration you are.  I hope you know how amazing you are.. well if not i'm reminding you!  What you have achieved with Faces of Loss, Faces of Hope is incredible.  Over 200 women around the globe are not feeling as alone as they would if you hadn't put this organisation together. Over 200 women around the globe are coping just that bit better because of you... and they are, together, with you, because of you, helping more women find their way ... wow.
I just want to let you know that i am going to help you spread the word, i will help by putting it out there here, in Australia.  I am not apart of the baby loss community, but i have been touched by the loss of Stevie Joy, your beautiful daughter, and you, my wonderful friend and your journey.
I just wanted to post this so whoever reads this, whether its someone who follows my blog or someone randomly clicking on the link, can see just how incredible you are.  It is one more person who is now aware.  I love you friend, and i cant wait to see you - wont be till next year though :(
Basically Kristin, i just want to say Thank you.  You really are an inspiration to me, you make me want more out of life because you are achieving your goals (in a BIG way) and making a difference, you have definitely made sure that Stevie's "short but precious life was not in vain."
I just love you.
